BBL 2022-23 Teams Schedule & Format
Every year Australia Cricket held the domestic league of its country. A total of 11 seasons play during the eleven years and the tournament starts to play in December to February. The 12th edition of BBL will start on 12 December when Melbourne Stars play against the Sydney Thunder team in Manuka Oval at 1:45. Australia Cricket release the official schedule of BBL. In this tournament total of 8 teams will participate to play from 6 states of Australia. A total of 62 matches will play in 13 different venues in Australia and the tournament will direct by Australia Cricket.
Teams Format
At the beginning of the league, all teams follow the same format except for 1st season. Because in the first edition of Big bash League 28 matches were set to play but later it increased to 32 in the 2nd season. Till the 8th season, all teams play against each other twice for regular season matches before the final. In the regular season, 56 matches were played. The matches of the group stage were divided into 8 groups where the team play 4 matches in each round. In the group stage, each team faces the other 6 teams one time and one team 2 times.
All 8 teams play 4 home ground matches and 4 away matches in the group stage. And 4 teams were selected for the semi-final stage on the bases of high points. In the 6th season, the format of the league was changed by Australia Cricket where 40 matches were set for the group stage. Each team plays 10 matches on the league stage before the semi-final. In the 9th edition, the format was changed by Australia Cricket, and add Eliminator round in it.
BBL 2022-23 Teams
Big Bash League is held every year in Australia and 8 teams play the tournament in this league. All franchise teams are based in six different states Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, & Perth. The team Perth Scorchers is the most successful franchise in the BBL and won the 4-time trophy in this league. Sydney and Scorchers made the recorded crowd on TV screens and Stadiums.
