He is an Australian player and right-arm fast-medium bowler. He plays mostly T20 format cricket. He starts to play in the Big Bash League in the 4th season as a player of Adelaide Strikers. Ben signed a two-year contract with the Strikers. In his first season, he took 13 wickets in 4th season. He becomes the first player in the 5th league season when he took his career 50 wickets in the BBL. Against the Melbourne Stars team, he took 2 wickets in a match.

But he did not stop in the next season Ben Laughlin took 9 wickets for Sydney Thunder with an average of 14.9. Abbot is an Australian player who originally play for New South Wales. He made his first debut in Big Bash League for Sydney  Thunder in the 1st season. He also plays for both Sydney teams for Thunder in the 1st & 2nd season. Later Sydney Sixers bought him in 3rd season. In the 5th season, IPL bought him for their franchise team.

But he continue the 6th season with Sydney Sixers where he took 20 wickets in 10 matches. He gets an award for being the highest wicket-taker of the season.
