Multan Sultan Team Franchise History
In the year 2017, the chairman of the Pakistan Super League announced 6th a team will add to the 3rd season of PSL. In 2017 June they find the Multan Sultan as a new team in Pakistan Super League. Schon Properties bought the Multan team after winning the bid. Schon Properties signed the contract for eight-year.
On 10 November the PCB declare the franchise of Multan Sultan termination. It is happening due to a delay in the annual fee deposit to Pakistan Cricket Board. After that Alamgir Khan Tareen and Ali Khan Tareen won the bid to buy the franchise of Multan. In 2021 Alamgir Khan Tareen bought the franchise sloe ownership.

Team Name & Logo
The team name of Multan Sultan represent the tradition of Multan city. Its logo color was Yellow , green & black in the season of 2018. But later previous colors changed with white, yellow, green. In the logo an empire on the horse represent the strong Ruler. Multan is the city of spiritual personalities. They rule on the heart of people with their knowledge of Islam.
Team Anthem
In the first season of 2018 the Anthem song of Multan Sultan team was “Hum Hein Multan Kay Sultan” sung by Sarang Latif & Waqar Ehsan. They change their anthem in 2019 ” Lets Play Saeen” & “Waqat- E- Janoo” sung by Some What Super Band. In 2021 Soch the Band sung the Anthem song ” Tak Meday Shona”.

The Multan Sultan Kit change time to time. The recently launched Kit colors are Blue & green. In the front of shirts The name of Pepsi Sponsor highlighted. On the left site of shirt team logo is designed & right side of the chest the Lays name designed as a sponsor. 2018 Year
In 2018 season Shoaib Malik led the team as captain. Wasim Akram and Tom Moody was appointed as the head coach of the team. Multan Sultan play their first match against Peshawar Zalmi which were the defending champion of 2017. The play total of four matches 7 lost five matches in this tournament. They place fifth in the points table & did not make the place in the play-off stage.
2019 Year
Multan team started the tournament against Karachi Kings but failed to win the match. They win only three match of the tournament and become fifth on points table again. Shoaib Malik make the highest 266 runs. Shahid Afridi took 10 wickets and win the award for the highest wicket taker of the season. Johan Botha became the head coach of Multan team after the Wasim Akram left the team coaching.
2020 Year
Shan Masood led the team as a captain in the season of 2020. Multan Sultan team qualify first time for the play-offs. The make 1st position in the group stage. But they lost both matches of play-off and failed to reach in the final stage. Andy Flower was the head coach of Sultans team in this season.
2021 Year
Sultan’s team play well in the start of 2021 tournament & they finished their group stage in 2nd position. In the play-off stage they play against Islamabad United and win the match. In the final Multan Sultan play the match against Peshawar Zalmi and beat them by 47 runs. Multan Sultan become 1st time the champion of Pakistan super League.
2022 Year
In this year Multan Sultan wins 5 consecutive matches. In this season they progressed at the top level. They qualify for the play-off & final stage. In the final they play against Lahore Qalandar but they can’t won the match. They lost the match by41 runs.
